22-23 Scouting Adventures

2022-2023 was a big year for Pack 432! With over 50 cubs in our Pack, our meetings were loud but they were jam-packed with fun.

We started the year Popping with our annual popcorn fundraiser. Our scouts met their goal of selling over $10,000 of popcorn with Trails End! Unbelievable! These efforts for scouts funded our year of activities including lots of campouts and special outings.

Speaking of campouts...

We visited Calvert Cliffs twice during the year - and it was amazing both times!

We camped at Patapsco with the peak of fall colors!

15 Mile Creek Campground at the C&O Canal brought fishing and bike trails!

And at Assateague, we camped right on the beach! It was sandy, windy, cold - what an Adventure!

But Scouts isn't just camping. Our AOL den (5th graders) visited with local government officials to learn about civic responsibilities and even got to meet with Howard County Executive, Calvin Ball.

Our Bear Den (3rd graders) visited the NSA's Cryptological Museum and practiced some decoding skills of their own.

In Pack meetings, we used games and silliness to demonstrate Scout values like conservation, respect, reverence, kindness, and teamwork. Here's a few more pictures from our Pack over the year.

Pack 432 participated in the Klondike Derby! Our scouts braved the cold weather and learned to work together to solve problems and overcome challenges.

No Cub Scout year is complete with a Pinewood Derby - and ours did not disappoint!

Thanks to the amazing fundraising our scouts did selling popcorn, our Pack had a bowling party and an unforgettable trip to Ravens Stadium!

Our top popcorn sellers also got to pie a leader in the face. Super sticky, but the scouts LOVED it!

Our scouts also had hiking adventures, learned woodworking skills, tied knots, learned to read maps, visited a Baltimore Blast soccer game and a Monster Truck Jam, and, most importantly, made friends that will last a lifetime.

We are exited to see what 2023-2024 has in store!
