Adult Training

Pack 432 takes adult leader training and the protection of our youth very seriously.

All registered adult leaders complete Youth Protection Training on a yearly basis.  All parents and grownup teammates for Scouts are encouraged to complete the course too. YPT is an online course that teaches how to be aware of signs of abuse and provides instruction in the 2-deep leadership principles we employ to help ensure the safety of all Scouts.

Teammate Responsibilities

As a parent or other grownup teammate of a Cub Scout, it is your responsibility to assist your young Scout in advancing with their den.  We ask that all grownups in attendance:

  • Stay engaged at the meetings (Scouting isn't child care)

  • Put down the cell phones at Pack events and participate

  • Attend outings with your Scout

  • Volunteer to help if you have experience in an area

  • Consider being on the Pack Committee

  • Don't be afraid to say something... remember, the leaders are outnumbered by the Scouts, and YOUR help is more appreciated than you think!
